Orthopedic & Post-Surgical Rehab in Atlantic County
You don't have to live with chronic pain or rush your recovery.
Why Your Rehab Matters as Much as Your Surgery
Whether you are recovering from a total joint replacement or battling chronic back pain, the physical therapy you choose determines your future quality of life.
Too often, patients in standard clinics feel like a number. They are handed a generic sheet of exercises, left with a therapy aide, or forced to share their therapist’s attention with two or three other people at the same time.
At FAM Rehabilitation, we refuse to treat you that way. We believe that orthopedic recovery requires focused, undivided attention. You can’t fix a lifetime of movement patterns in a crowded gym. You need a Doctor of Physical Therapy by your side, guiding every rep and assessing every movement.

Why Choose FAM for Orthopedic Rehabilitation?
Many clinics rely on "passive" treatments—hot packs and ultrasound—that only provide temporary relief. We focus on active, long-term solutions.
Board-Certified Expertise: You have access to specialists who understand the complexities of the musculoskeletal system. We don't just treat the pain; we find the source.
1-on-1 Focus (No Double Booking): In many local clinics, therapists juggle multiple patients. At FAM, your appointment time is yours. This allows for hands-on manual therapy and faster adjustments to your plan.
"Pre-Hab" Services: We work with many patients before their scheduled surgery. Strengthening the body prior to a procedure is proven to speed up recovery time significantly after the operation.

FAQs
Do I need a referral?
It depends on your insurance plan. Call us, and we will handle the legwork to verify your benefits and tell you exactly what you need before your first visit.
I’m in a lot of pain. Will therapy make it worse?
Our goal is to relieve pain, not create it. While "good soreness" from strengthening muscles is normal, we do not believe in the "no pain, no gain" philosophy for rehab. We listen to your body and adjust to keep you comfortable.
Do you treat "Pre-Hab" (Before Surgery)?
Yes. "Pre-hab" is one of the best ways to ensure a successful surgery. By strengthening the muscles around the joint before the operation, you often leave the hospital with more mobility and less pain.
How is this different from the chain clinics?
The biggest difference is time. We don't rush you, and we don't hand you off to assistants. You get a Doctor of Physical Therapy for your entire session, which usually leads to fewer total visits needed to reach your goals.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring your prescription (if you have one), your insurance card, comfortable clothing you can move in, and a list of any questions you have for the therapist.
