Freedom from Leaks and Pain: Pelvic Health in Atlantic County
You don’t have to "just live with it." We provide private, one-on-one care to help you regain control and confidence.
It’s Common, But It’s Not "Normal"
Whether you recently gave birth, are going through menopause, or are recovering from surgery, you may have been told that leaking urine or experiencing pelvic pain is just "part of life."
At FAM Rehabilitation, we disagree. Pelvic floor dysfunction is a medical condition involving muscles and nerves—just like a shoulder injury or a knee problem. It is treatable.
Many women (and men) suffer in silence because they are embarrassed to ask for help, or they fear the only solution is surgery. We offer a non-surgical, evidence-based path to recovery in a completely private setting.
Our Focus
Your pelvic floor muscles support your core, bladder, and bowel. When they are too weak, too tight, or uncoordinated, it affects your entire life.
Urinary Incontinence (Leaking)
Stress Incontinence: Leaking when you laugh, sneeze, jump, or lift.
Urge Incontinence: The sudden, uncontrollable need to go (often called "Overactive Bladder").
We teach you how to coordinate and strengthen these muscles to stop the leaks.
Pelvic Pain & Dyspareunia
Pain during intercourse, tampon use, or gynecological exams is often caused by muscle tension (high tone) in the pelvic floor. We use gentle manual therapy and relaxation techniques to restore comfort.
Pregnancy & Postpartum Recovery
Diastasis Recti: Separation of the abdominal muscles.
C-Section Recovery: Scar tissue mobilization and core rebuilding.
"Mommy Tummy": Safe strengthening to restore your core stability after delivery.
Prolapse Management
Feeling of "heaviness" or pressure. We can help manage symptoms and prevent worsening through pressure management strategies and strengthening.
Why Choose FAM for Pelvic Floor Therapy?
This is personal. You need a provider you can trust, in an environment where you feel safe.
Total Privacy: We understand the sensitivity of this care. Your sessions are held in a private treatment room, never in an open gym.
1-on-1 Focus: You are never double-booked. You have your therapist's full attention for the entire session to discuss your symptoms and progress without feeling rushed.
Holistic Approach: The pelvic floor doesn't work in isolation. We look at your hips, lower back, and posture to solve the root cause of the dysfunction.

You leave with hope. Most patients feel a sense of relief just knowing that what they are experiencing is treatable.
FAQs
Do I need an internal exam?
An internal exam is the "gold standard" to assess the strength and coordination of pelvic floor muscles, but it is never mandatory. We can start with external assessments and only proceed to internal work if and when you are comfortable. You are always in control.
Is this only for pregnant women?
No. We treat women across the lifespan—from young athletes experiencing leaking during sports, to women navigating menopause, to seniors dealing with prolapse.
Yes. We specialize in safely rebuilding the core and closing the gap in abdominal muscles post-pregnancy.
Can you help with "Diastasis Recti" (Ab separation)?
Do I need a referral?
It depends on your insurance plan. Call us, and we will verify your benefits and let you know exactly what is required before your first visit.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in easily, similar to what you would wear to the gym.
Regain Your Confidence.
Stop planning your day around the nearest restroom.
